In 2003, Marv is a frustrated corporate videographer who hates his day job, where he spends his days filming fake smiles, forced laughter, and staged moments. At night, he secretly works as a freelance stringer, driving around with an illegal radio scanner and MiniDV camcorder to film accidents, car crashes, and other tragedies for money. He drops the tapes off at the video rental shop beneath his apartment, where they’re sold to collectors online.
But when his modified radio begins picking up strange signals that lead him to increasingly disturbing events, Marv’s search for money, freedom, and the truth slowly turns into an obsession.
Inspired by the film Nightcrawler (2014).
